Our Church-life and Worship

Our main service is at 10am every Sunday.  Whilst the format changes throughout each month our worship is a blend of the contemporary and traditional with music led by our music group.  Details of the service are given below.


1st Sunday of the month 8:30am Holy Communion using Common Worship Order A, a short sermon but no music.  The service lasts around 45 minutes. communion icon
10am All-age worship.  Children remain in church throughout the service and we worship together - something for everyone!  The service lasts just under one hour. congregation
2nd Sunday of the month 10am Holy Communion.  School-age children start with their own ‘Junior Church’ in the St Mary’s Centre, joining the main service in time for communion.  The adults meanwhile have had their own worship and teaching in church.  A crèche is provided in church with Toddler church runs in church at the same time as the main service.  The service lasts around an hour and a quarter. communion icon
3rd Sunday of the month 8:30am Holy Communion using Common Worship Order A communion icon
10am Morning worship (no communion).  The same Junior Church and crèche arrangements as for the 2nd Sunday. The service lasts around an hour and a quarter. Family utside church

5th Sunday of the month 10am Something different - normally informal worship. worship

Our 19th Century church has been re-ordered providing a comfortable and flexible worship space.  St Mary’s Centre next door is the venue for a range of activities from Junior Church to a variety of clubs and societies.
